Has MT4 been replaced?
Considering the popularity of MT4, MEX Group will continue to support all MT4 accounts. There are no plans to replace MT4 in the near future.
Recommendation for new traders: which account type to choose from?
A new trader can try out both platforms and get familiar with their interfaces and tools. Then you can choose a trading platform based on your personal preferences and knowledge. You can download the MT4 and MT5 terminals, use them in parallel, and decide which trading platform is more suitable for your type of trading.
What is the relationship between trading platforms and trading accounts?
Trading platforms are associated with trading accounts. When choosing a trading platform, you should first select your trading account and account type. MEX Group offers live and demo accounts for MT4 and MT5 trading platforms, as well as MAXIMUS Standard account, MULTIBANK PRO account and ECN PRO account.
Who needs to choose MT4?
MT4 is the previous version of the MT5 trading software. At MEX Group, clients can trade currency pairs, stocks, indices, precious metals and commodities CFDs with MT4, and add MT5 accounts at any time.

As mentioned above, MAXIMUS Standard, MULTIBANK PRO and ECN PRO ECN accounts are all supported by the MT4 platform.
Who needs to choose MT5?
Customers who choose MT5 can enjoy more functions, including trading currency pairs, stocks, indices, precious metals, and CFDs on commodities, and their MT5 accounts can be logged into the Windows computer version (available for download) as well as the corresponding mobile app.

As mentioned above, you can use MAXIMUS Standard and ECN PRO accounts on the MT5 platform.
What are the main differences between the MT4 and MT5 trading accounts?
The main difference is that MEX Group's MT5 does not currently support MULTIBANK PRO account.
